A Laptop from an 25 year old computer? From a C64? This ‘computer’ is not even small, has big keys and only 64KB of memory.
Why could anyone build a laptop with a C64 inside. Some will see, because you can and other will say because I want it.
For me it started a long time ago after seeing the C64 laptop build from benheck. It looks cool and I can see my old demo’s without setting up a monitor and computer. (I don’t have room to set this up and leave it there). In 2009 benheck.com had an auction for his rev2 C64 laptop. My bid was $5000 but someone, a mistery bidder, had some more money and won the laptop for $6000. This was the moment that I thought, I can build a laptop like that myself. What do you need? A C64, display, some cool plugins like speakers, cardreader, ect.. Put it all together and your ready to play some old demo’s.
