After the Roland MIDI Sound Canvas I also bought a Commodore 64 (C-Model) today on ebay. I already had a A-Model but the C-Model is smaller and better to use for an C64 laptop since I need it to be even smaller. I need to cut the motherboard in 2 parts. Well… This is why I need to buy more than 1. It still needs to come over from Germany to the Netherlands… I also hopes the keyboard is clean en still the same color as many year ago.

First let me show you the famious C64 laptop from benheck.

Commodore 64 Original Hardware Laptop Revision 2
Don’t you want to own a laptop like this? I would
Ok, now how to start working on this. I think you need time… lots of free time. This is something I don’t have at this moment since I study photography and have I fulltime job as Java developer and being daddy.
Second, you need some money to buy of the mod stuff. A LCD monitor panel, speakers, extra hardware, add-ons, ect… And don’t forget the tools. Drill, Dremel, electronics tools, ect…
What do I want to build? just a laptop like the picture above? or create something special? I ‘think’ a want just a c64 laptop, lcd screen, speakers, maybe some cool add-ons but maybe i’ll like a very thin computer with less add-ons in it. I don’t know yet (like always)
I’ve seen very special mods with VU-meters, displays, buttons, colors, ect… They all look very nice to me but they are not me.. If i’m gonna build a c64 laptop, it a Dustin C64 laptop (What ever that me be). Something I like.
